I have lived in Oklahoma all my life, went to college here, but have always loved travelling. I am a Christian and went on several mission trips throughout high school and college. After college I went on a mission trip called The World Race taking me to 11 countries in 11 months, spending a month a piece in each country. We volunteered with local ministries in each country for the month from manual labor to teaching English to evangelism. I learned a lot about myself and God during that year and am now heading out to lead a World Race trip for their first 5 months of their 11 that they will be out.

Afterwards I plan on travelling Indonesia for two months before meeting back up with the group in Malaysia. I'm using these two months for growing in intimacy with God, giving space to hear him speak, to be in awe of his creation, and to meet some of the people living in Indonesia and hearing their stories and passions.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm newly out of college, been doing missions for 1 1/2 years, and I'm a teacher. All those things combined equal NO MONEY!
But I also love people, love hearing stories, and would much rather sleep on a couch or floor while mingling with people I'd never meet in America than sitting in a nice hotel room by myself.

And I've always wanted to do it!

Mostly Christian non-fiction books, but I also enjoy The Cronicles of Narnia, Hunger Games, Divergent Series, Twilight (judge me, idc), Harry Potter (duh) and you can never go wrong with a classic childrens book. #ImATeacher

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I got to bungee jump and gorge swing over the Zambezi River at Victoria Falls

I also got to hike a Volcano in Guatemala and roast marshmellows in the rocks
