I was born and raised in New York, USA and studied filmmaking at university in Los Angeles. During and since then, I have traveled around, often camera in hand, exploring new places and experiencing new cultures, with a drive to do that for the rest of my life. I've taught sailing, worked at the United Nations, and currently am a freelance filmmaker looking for new projects and new adventures.

I find that the most important part of travel is meeting new people. Sure, you can see amazing sights, taste great food, etc., but to really understand a place, you need the knowledge of someone who is from that area. A big goal in my travels is to really embrace where I am, and that involves meeting incredible people along the way. In addition to that, lending my perspective to people traveling to where I am is a joy for me, it lets me see my city in a new light and get a new view on a place I have known my entire life.
