Hi everyone!

I am a 23 year old Canadian guy currently travelling Europe for 6 months! I'm still a new couchsurfer and I've only surfed once so far! I check CS nearly everywhere I go but I often get nervous asking people to host me, but I'm working on overcoming that fear! I'm genuinely in love with travelling and the end of this 6 month trip around Europe will not be the end of my travels. I'm planning on going to South East Asia next and then getting a job in Australian, as most Canadian travellers do!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because I want to meet locals and cool people all across Europe/ the world.

Interests

Travelling obviously, I really like my work, serving and bartending. I'm really interested in cocktail bartending. I also love good food and I'm an amateur cook. I'm passionate about music but I can't play anything so I just listen. I like adventures big and small, but I hate paying for them or sharing them with a thousand tourists a day.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love music, despite having no musical talent. I've spent quite a bit of money on stereo systems and headphones. I don't like top 40s or most mainstream pop or rap music. I mostly like indie and alternative rock, classic rock, I like indie electro or electronica, folk, jazz, anything that's well written, and I truly appreciate "weird". I sadly don't read enough. What I do like is fantasy, Harry Potter was my childhood to early teen years, Lord of the Rings, the Inheritance series. I'll get into reading Game of Thrones soon. I like a lot of movies. Comedy, Action, Drama, even a good Rom Com. Mostly I like movies that make you think (Fight Club, Donnie Darko, most movies by Tarantino) or movies that are out there in a fun way (Wes Anderson). My favourite movie might actually be In Bruges, can't wait to visit Belgium!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I was 15 I went on a volunteer trip to Sarchi, Costa Rica. I worked with a group that helped out a local elementary school, we helped purchase and renovate the first ever daycare in the city. And we worked on building a Chapel (it was a very religious community) at a drug rehabilitation center in the mountains. Spending a couple nights in the dorm with the rehab patients is one amazing memory of mine.

I can share my small knowledge of bartending and teach you how to make a few drinks really well!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I make a mean cocktail giving the proper ingredients! I might be able to make you laugh, but most likely I'll just be laughing at myself :)
