I am a keen nature photographer and that passion has fed into being interested in hiking, sailing and just generally being outdoors. While I love going to wild places I'm not a complete hermit and enjoy coming to cities; sharing food, drink and conversation and meeting new people too.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think this is a great way of connecting with people. Coming to a new place and staying in a hostel can be great but you often end up only meeting with other travellers and not the locals.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I got gifted a sailboat on the west coast of Canada by a complete stranger, so I sailed it to Scotland over the course of a year, via a whole bunch of countries.
