Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing

I was pretty skeptical of couchsurfing at first, but a guy I met while travelling used it to meet lots of interesting local people we would never have met otherwise. They showed us more of the town than tourists usually see. That's what travelling is all about, and hopefully I'll be able to do the same thing for other people as well.

Big sports fan: football, boxing, weightlifting, formula 1 - I can pretty much get into anything that isn't baseball.

Favourite authors at the minute: Philip Roth, Paul Auster, Arthur C. Clarke, Michel Houellebecq.

What films I like really depends on my mood. Schindler's List is a brilliant film but if I'm hungover I'd take Mean Girls any day.

Music: I like loads of stuff. Hip hop, trip hop, acid jazz, metal, grunge, British punk, shoegaze indie, reggae, jungle, folk, prog rock.

Enseignez, apprenez, partagez

I enjoy cooking with other people and learning new recipes; nothing brings people together like good food and 3 bottles of wine. I'm a pretty good cook too - stay at our place and I'll knock you up a gratin so good you'll cry.
