About Me
Traveling through Europe for the summer before I start a doctoral chemistry program at Indiana University. Looking to meet interesting people and have great experiences abroad before I wither away in a research lab for the rest of my life (haha).
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I have never been to Europe before, so I wanted to travel before I start school again while I still have the chance. I will be traveling by myself for a good portion of the trip, so I am very open to exploring the city and local landscape with people who know it best.

Music, Movies, and Books
In terms of music, I really like electronic and alternative genres. Inception is one of the best movies in my opinion, but I'm not too picky as long as it's not horror, haha. I'm a big fan of X-Men movies as well. When I don’t have my face buried in chemistry books I enjoy unwinding with a good book. One of my favorites from a while back was Paranoia by Joseph Finder. I’m also most of the way through The Boys in the Boat by Daniel James Brown. It’s about the 1936 U.S. men’s Olympic 8-oar boat, and follows the story of one of the men in particular.
I'm also a big fan of How It's Made, but I'm not sure if it's broadcast outside of the United States. It follows industry methods of making everyday things that people normally aren't allowed to see, and I think it's really interesting.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I ran a my first marathon in my senior year of high school. 4:29:50 something isn't that impressive but I hadn't gone longer than a half-marathon before then.
What I Can Share with Hosts
An enthusiasm for learning about different cultures and localities. I am a very flexible person, and I am really excited to try new things.
