About Me
Late 2022 UPDATE: I quit my job and am taking a year-two off to step into the unknown. I am planning on travelling with no plan and be lead by my soul. I intend to listen to my inner guidance on direction to follow.
It's pretty terrifying. Part of me is freaking out and wondering why I gave up so much security and safety for something I don't even know exists. And yet it feels right.
I am looking more for questions rather than answers.
I'd love to meet fellow explorers! If you feel like we resonate and want to say Hi or suggest a place/thing - please reach out.
CURRENT MISSION
To make this world a bit more warm and cozy
ABOUT ME
I am just fascinated by people, life stories and people's inner worlds and cultures.
I strive to have a high level of integrity, figure out what this life is all about, push the envelope just the right amount and be as real as I can be.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I love hosting people! To me it's like travelling without leaving my house. I go to other countries to immerse in their culture, this way their culture comes to my house.
I was introduced to CS when I picked up a hitchhiker, while on a few month-long life changing trip. At one point I volunteered in Mexico with 3 other CSers from Spain, Mexico and Japan to help sea turtles proliferate. These days I use hangouts while travelling.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
The way I got introduced to CouchSurfing is a cool little story in it's own. I was driving down a windy breathtakingly beautiful coastal road in California when I picked up this really cool hitchhiker from Spain travelling from Alaska and planning on spending another 7 months going all the way to South America. We ended up camping that night together and exploring LA the next day. He told me all about SC and how awesome it is. Really made me want to participate - to host and to travel more. And so I registered right away and became a great supporter of the whole concept. I think this is the way to travel, learn the cultures and meet people.
Interests
I love sailing and own a sailboat, I try to sail often. Hope to cross the Atlantic and then go around the world some day. I am a big alternative energies supporter and in general would love to see humanity shift more towards sustainable living.
I founded a kayaking group, so we go kayaking quite often. If you have an interest in kayaking I might help make it happen. (even if I am not hosting you)

Music, Movies, and Books
BoJack Horseman - probably the best thing I've seen on TV.
Good writing is the key for me. I can forgive anything else ina movie or show.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I moved to another country when I was a teenager with $100 in my pocket and remember awaiting for a culture shock that I was warned about. I thought I'd be convulsing on the ground.
Teach, Learn, Share
I try to concentrate less on what I have or do. And more on who I am.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Genuine interest for people, desire to understand what it's like to be them and my own experiences. I prefer to go deep while being respectful of your boundaries.
Practical things: home improvement skills, cooking, chores.
