ABOUT ME

I'm always on the move (at least I'd like to be), a bit torn between my introverted nature and my desire for travelling and meeting new people. Love nature, wildlife, being generally active and occasionally being artistic and philosophical when the whim takes me.
I'm a bit of a technophobe (you'll realise I'm right when the computers start to take over) , so I'm not great at staying in touch.

I've only just started! I can host when I'm back in the UK, but not for the minute!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've stayed with people in China and Malaysia, some great experiences, some a bit creepy. None via this website though!

Intereses

I like writing stories, playing music and pretending I'm an adventurer.
I assume I should love learning languages, but (except English) Mandarin is the only language that I'm any good at! Although travelling and meeting new people can inspire me, I'm probably always looking for something more, which always seems to charm and elude me.

Seeing regional opera in northern China and being invited to join in the jubilant funeral celebrations.
Being attacked by a Tibetan Mastiff in Qinghai and nearly dying.

I can speak English and Mandarin and write English and Chinese. I can play guitar. I'm willing to teach any of these skills, but they're hardly specialist!
