About Me

CURRENT MISSION

learn to fly...

ABOUT ME

I love my life, I love to make the most out of the everyday. So music and good company are really important. I'm excited to be off to university (finally) to study chemical engineering. I'm also hoping to start my own business...again :)

I have itchy feet - I love nothing more than to get in the car, put on my road-tripping playlist and go somewhere new and different. It keeps me sane and pulls me out of the rut of everyday living.

I am friendly, enthusiastic and engaging, open to learning how other people live, trying things I've never tried before, particularly if it comes with a healthy dose of adrenalin...

PHILOSOPHY

Someone once said to me "There are two kinds of people in the world. Those who dream, and those who make their dreams happen.". Turns out that with a hammock, beautiful day and a cold beer I'm happy to dream and enjoy life as it is. :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I was introduced to the idea of couch surfing by a friend whilst studying French in France. She had a great time absorbing the culture by staying with a variety of hosts, so I signed up. Couch on offer for travellers although it's a bit middle-of-nowhere. I haven't surfed yet, but have met csers on social nights in a few places, and they've always been a good time.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

None yet...work in progress.

Interests

Playing drums like a rockstar, going to gigs, learning guitar (slowly), motorbikes, paragliding, surfing, visiting new places...learning French, coffee.

Music, Movies, and Books

Books and films - true life stories or biographies are generally what I go for first, particularly if they relate to Africa. I really enjoy cinema and go a few times a month (if there's anything remotely decent out). Music includes Ben Howard, Alt-J, Wolf Alice, Daughter, Placebo, Massive Attack, Sigur Ros, The Cardigans, Muse, KoL, various movie soundtracks. Most importantly, Stones vs Beatles, the Stones win every time for me.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Watching Muse at Wembley stadium, and finding myself (having taken the wrong bus out of the stadium lost in London at 1am) the next day in the house of a random group of strangers in London - being gently woken up with a warm brew - the most kind thing strangers have ever done for me, and an epic 24hours...

Teach, Learn, Share

I could teach you some percussion/drum beats, how to make good coffee with latte art, how not to dance.
