ABOUT ME

Hello! I'm Jack. My girlfriend Kate and I live in an apartment on Capitol Hill. The location is great, it's walking distance to all the best bars/clubs/nightlife in the city. We both love to meet new people and have hosted all kinds of friends and travelers from a rowdy ten piece rock n roll band in need of a place to crash to individuals looking to explore a new city.

My heroes are Tom Waits and Stephen Colbert and Dan Savage and a kid no one's ever heard of that wrote a poem so good I got its title tattooed on my back.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have played in many bands that have toured the US and UK and many times relied on the kindness of strangers putting us up for the night and always love to return the favor by doing the same as often as I can.

兴趣

I am interested in anything creative. I like to play and record music, listening to records, etc. I collect vintage typewriters. I love to cook. I also do graphic and web design and screen printing. I am very into film and books. I have a home theater with a giant screen that we use to watch the thousands of movies we've collected.

I love Vonnegut and Orwell, my favorite book is Keep the Aspidistra Flying. My favorite band is the Dirty Three. I worship Nick Cave and Tom Waits. My favorite movie of all time is Down by Law, followed closely by True Romance.

The Dirty Three at the Showbox in Seattle blew my mind wide open once. The northern lights, hot springs, and glaciers in Iceland were stunning. Touring in an actual bus, seeing our name on the marque, and playing a huge show at the Roxy in Los Angeles was pretty damn great.
