About Me

CURRENT MISSION

finish uni, work hard at becomming a good cellist

ABOUT ME

music keeps me sane, i play drums (dont worry i wont wake you up with them) and cello but love listening to music as much as i do playing it. i think philosophy is great fun although could do with reading a bit more. i enjoy poncing about enjoying the good life, the odd tipple, ale and whiskey are good. i have a cat who acts like a dog, he's quite soft. i love rugs, if i could i'd have the place covered with rugs, i have to exercise serious self restraint to not buy douzens of rugs on the road as i dont think id be able to lug them about. a good frolic from time to time never did any harm. fry ups are fantastic. i like collecting things but never build up a full collection of one particular thing. im quite happy tootleing along through life enjoying myself

PHILOSOPHY

life's short, you only get one, wwhy waste the best part of it under the preconception that life cant start until you have money. people are the most important thing in the world, so you have to put out the hand of friendship even if it does get bitten occasionally.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

in all honesty i dont know, im more than happy to give people places to stay as long as they're up for a good chin wag and maybe ill get a place to stay when im in need.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

its all a bit random really, you meet people and they put you up as long as there's give and take. ive been taken to parties, fed salmon by mad old dutch men, hosted by families. the best experience id say was in rural cuba, its a long story but in blunt i was proper stranded and was told the police in that part were very heavy handed, a cuban family put me up, we sat in their living room, the door open and people just came and went, was a wonderful community, they then took me to bus station in the morning and put me on a bus. found out a few days later its illegal for cubans to host tourists, i owe this family more than i imagined.
crashed in a few other places, roughed it a bit, all in good fun.
