About Me
[Disclaimer]: I'm not in Vietnam until July, so I have to politely turn down any requests from you until then.
Xin chao! Hola!
I'm Trang from Vietnam. Currently I'm studying in SF.
I do believe that to take is to give and connection is valuable, so if you need to know something about Vietnam,... I'd be happy to help to the best of my ability.
I'm a friendly, smiley person at the end of the day (my profile picture tells it all), and a curious mind in culture, art, psychology, conflict, business, strategies... I have received a lot from people's generosity and kindness, so my goal is to be just that.
To my host: I will be nice, clean and respectful with your culture, your house, your kids, your pets... I can sleep everywhere, your couch, your floor, your garden... as long as you welcome me to your home.
To my guests: I'll be in Vietnam during the summer and will try my best to be a helpful local. If I'm too busy to take you to places during summer, my friends are great people as well and I can connect you with them. However, I'm not a social-media kind of person, so don't be frustrated if it takes me long to answer your message, I'll find time to answer it asap.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm a big fan of Nguyen Phuong Mai, an Vietnamese author who is currently living in Netherlands and has travelled to 80 countries in the world. Her book "The Middle East's Road" (Con đường Hồi Giáo) was so inspiring to me that I tried to find my way to Israel after reading it. Since then, I've met a lot of people and seen new places that I could never imagine.
I'm a student, so of course the free-accomondation platform that Couch Surfing offers is attractive, but the primary reason I'm here because I'm I want to listen to different stories, see different people. :) It's so exciting, isn't it?
