My first experience with couch surfing was very informal. I was travelling through an unfamiliar city (Milwaukee, WI) and someone befriended me and offered me a couch before I had even started looking for a place to stay (I was planning on renting a room.) I believe that life is more fun and fulfilling when you open yourself up to connecting with and learning from strangers.

I'm interested in meeting people from around the world and showing them the things that I love about Seattle, whether that's a brewery around the corner, a music venue across the city or a hike out in the wild. I'm interested in seeing things through the eyes of travelers.

I attend a lot of shows in Seattle, mainly funk, bluegrass and jam, but also including electronic, indie and avant garde. I could go on naming genres, but I like stuff that's either weird or dance-able.
