About Me

Well hello, Couchsurfer! My name is Jacob, I am a bike mechanic (the Revolutionary thing is more like a hobby) and keen motorcycle rider.

Once upon a time, my CS profile was filled with everything you could possibly want to know about me, in fact, I spent hours making the most comprehensively wonderful profile ever; prior to realizing, that is, that most 'surfers don't even bother reading it; y'all just want me for my couch and the roof it's under! :) and that's ok, after all, if you don't need a couch, preferably located in an enclosed space, what are you even doing here? :)

So, I'll make things simple: You can probably stay at my place, but I have a very strict alcohol and drug policy:

BRING THEM. :) IT'S THE NETHERLANDS BABY

Indicating that you have read and accepted this bit will greatly improve your chances of acceptance. Sending a generic message that you've copied and pasted to every host is generally frowned upon by all hosts, so you know.

Oh and if you're a host who has a place I've requested to stay at, I am asking for exactly the same reason any other Surfer asks (I'll just be honest about it): I'm stuck for a place to stay and am too tight to pay for an AirBnB/Hostel. In fairness though it's not only that with me; I'd rather spend money buying beer/wine/food/whatever for me and my host (a person) rather than it going into the coffers of some commercial organization. A point of principle, you know? So yes, I want you for your couch but I also want to show my appreciation for your hospitality rather than it being a strictly commercial thing, if that makes sense. It's far more fun this way :D

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Made it thusfar alive.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Pot? Booze? Takeaway? Fun stories? My host is giving me a place to stay, helping me out of a tight spot and saving me quite a bit of money. I'll share with my host whatever he or she wants, within reason!

Countries I’ve Lived In

Netherlands, United Kingdom
