About Me

Active, positive and friendly; I'm always up for an adventure.
A lover of people, I generally think outside the box.
I'm not much of a writer, but I'm a good conversation partner, or so I've been told.
After writing my bachelor's thesis thesis this semester, I'm finished with my degree in mechanical engineering!
Fully covid vaccinated

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

MY COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Haven't gone couchsurfing before, but I stayed as a workawayer in Italy and Scotland for a month in 2018. My hosts were wonderful, and we had a great time together:)

I love meeting new people, and I love traveling. Hanging out with locals is so much better than being an "outsider" staying at a hotel.
Life has kept me busy till now, which is why I have few couchsurfing references despite being a member since 2015.

Interests

I try to entertain various interests, so there's always something I can do.
On days with nice weather and a little wind, I'll hike a mountain and soar through the sky using my paraglider. On windier days, I'll hop on my windsurfer and race across the fjord.
When the weather is bad, I'll stay indoors and tinker with various technologies, watch a good show or fold some origami.
I'd be happy if you want to share in any of my interests :)

  • animals
  • beer
  • technology
  • anime
  • cars
  • origami
  • windsurfing

Music, Movies, and Books

I used to watch a lot of anime, but these days I mostly put on a stand-up comedy.
My favourite book is Farthest North by Fridtjof Nansen; it inspired me to apply for a job in the Antarctic next winter. Didn't get the job, but I'll try again next year lol

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Made it through uni during a pandemic.
Apart from that, the solo bicycle journey I had from the North cape to Trondheim in 2019 was amazing! Met so many wonderful people :)

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you about open source software, technology and such, -and I'll happily teach you to maintain and fix your own vehicle.
I could teach you Norwegian too, if you'd like.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm pretty good at technical stuff like fixing electronics, cars, machines and such. I'm also decent at setting up computers and software (I self host a private cloud).
With access to a computer and a 3D-printer I can produce just about anything physical.
If you've got an interesting project going on, I might be a good discussion partner.
I'm tone deaf but love singing, so if your standards are low I'd love to jam together.
I can also share a pescatarian norwegian delicacy with you, but be warned, it's an aquired taste
