Overview
About Me
I am a nature lover and enjoy the outdoors. I love backpacking, camping, and pretty much any other activity under the sun. Boy Scouts was a major influence in my life and has fueled my drive to see the world and all the different places it has created over its life. I am particularly interested in wildlife and plants. While at Ball State University I worked at the Orchid Greenhouse and came to appreciate the diversity within the plant kingdom and the amazing lives that plants can live and the interactions with the wildlife in their environment. I am extremely easy to get along with and love having company to enjoy the world with.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love nature and the world and hope to travel the world getting to see all that is has managed to come up with before the human race came along to look upon its masterpieces. I learned about Couchsurfing through friends and many online blogs and forums and it is highly recommended for meeting new knowledgeable and like minded people in areas that they will have the local information and help to reduce traveling costs.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I worked an internship with the SCA where I was positioned in the South Warner Wilderness Mountains in Northeast California with the Forest Service as a trail crew member. I was part of a 3-5 man team that would hike the trails of the wilderness, sometimes up to 4 days at a time backpacking, and maintain the trails by clearing them of low hanging branches for the horse riders in particular, cutting up massive trees using huge two person saws, axes, and other means, and maintaining water bars and switchbacks. At times we were sounded by mountains that blocked out almost all light allowing us to see the Milky Way itself with our own eyes.
Teach, Learn, Share
I went to college for a degree in environmental management and am also an egal Scout with a lot of survivalism knowledge
