About Me

CURRENT MISSION

See more of the world, and meet as many friends as possible!

ABOUT ME

I follow Taoist and Confucian teachings. Mostly because I am a very practical and logical person, but also because I am very in touch with the environment. I grew up ostracized from contemporary American culture, so I am very much my own person. I like to think I can introduce new perspectives into provocative conversations as well as my fair share of personal anecdote. My goal in life is to improve the lives of everyone I encounter, and leave everyone I meet with positive vibes. But I also understand that sometimes the best way to please people is to leave them alone.

PHILOSOPHY

You only learn when you allow yourself to learn. Open you mind and you can learn something from everyone you encounter through positive and negative experiences which reflects on your character as you construct yourself in terms of what you want to be and what you don't want to be. Always say hello to people and start a conversation if you can, because you will learn something.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I couch surfed through Australia

Did a lot of couch surfing meet ups in Buenos Aires

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I planned on staying with a family for a week in Tasmania, and I ended up sticking and staying with them for a semester while I studied at the University of Tasmania. Truly wonderful experience. Then I surfed the East coast of the Australian mainland where I met dozens of surfers, showing me how great of a network this is.

Interests

My first true love is the Gulf of Mexico, and I will always be drawn to water. I enjoy swimming, diving, lifeguarding, waterskiing, wake boarding, surfing, and everything involving water. I really enjoy staying active, anywhere between biking and dancing. Go ahead and call me shallow, but I enjoy the company of beautiful women. My favorite thing in this world is having an engaging conversation with a beautiful woman.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love live music, I enjoy watching any genre that can put on a show. I listen to all kinds of music in my spare time: all kinds of rock, reggae, electronic, country, bluegrass, and I’m a huge lover of jazz.

I wish I could read for pleasure more, but I have a literature based major so I am always reading for my studies. However thats not to say I don't enjoy compulsory readings, I’m a huge sucker for pamphlets and safety briefs.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I grew up taking a boat to school every morning watching the sunrise all the way to school.
