ABOUT ME

I am 22 now but I won't be for long. I was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY. Big cities are where I feel most at home, even if they are in foreign places. At the same time, I really love escaping into nature. While travelers are always outsiders, I still try to be more than a transient visitor. I wish I could really live in every place that I visit.

PHILOSOPHY

My personal philosophy is a work in progress. I'm not sure what I'm going to do about it.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I do not yet have much Couchsurfing experience. It just hasn't fit with my plans while traveling. But it's really a great way to explore (new cities and your own) and I hope I can find more ways to participate.

Interests

I'm interested in literature and languages and personal experiences. I want to know cultures and people. It's true we can never really know these things, but maybe that is what makes it so interesting.

Music, Movies, and Books

Hemingway, Faulkner, Dante, Ovid... I especially like books and movies that are a little tragic. I don't read enough. I wish I could read in other languages, like Spanish. I listen to hip-hop and a bit of everything else.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I will never forget hiking along the Lycian Way in southern Turkey.

Teach, Learn, Share

Since I've worked several jobs, my practical skill set is varied but lacks any particular strength. I have a good grasp on English grammar and I'd love to learn about other languages.
