i learned about CS while trying to figure out how to afford traveling in NZ. a fantastic idea it is, when im back in Newfoundland ill make my couch available for sure.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

ive lived and surfed on many a couch, but not through CS.com. i think ive spent years (ok, A year) on couches i all told.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Last night i was camping outside Wellington (NZ) on a spot where dozens of cicada nymphs were boroughed underground, and over the course of the night my tent became the home for at least 65 who proceeded 'hatch' into winged adults. absolutely frightening and amazing. their cracking skeletons sounded like light rain. what also jumps to mind are the the stepped rice terraces of Longsheng, China. Stunning.
