About Me

ABOUT ME

I graduated this year from my undergrad degree and work for an international development charity. I am travelling around a bit before starting a Masters in September. As part of my degree I spent a year of my degree on exchange in the US at Rutgers and am travelling back in the US to meet up with friends and to see new places.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Only as a guest so far on a couple of occasions. Have only had great experiences with couchsurfing in the past and am keen to add to them! I am looking to couchsurfing to help me travel around The U.S. whilst meeting new people - the chance to meet people on here makes it far more than just a free place to stay!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

A little, couchsurfed a couple of times the last time I was in the US and I don't think it's a coincidence that the 2 cities we couchsurfed in were the two I enjoyed the most.

Interests

I like watching and playing most sports and have played rugby for quite a few years now. I really enjoy music be it playing, listening or watching it live and feel a festival is one of the best ways to spend a weekend! Have played music since I was little and have a pretty eclectic taste and enjoy finding new artists.

Music, Movies, and Books

Too many to list for these but as an idea, in order:

Arctic Monkeys, Black Keys, Buddy Rich, Julio Bashmore, Modest Mouse...

The Motor Cycle Diaries, The Departed, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest...

Catch 22, Lord of the Rings, Fluke, Brave New World...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I find this sort of question quite hard to answer, but hiking in the Arctic and getting the chance to celebrate with the Maasai in Tanzania were both brilliant experiences!

Teach, Learn, Share

Definitely have more to learn than I do to share! I can teach you a few notes on the trombone if that takes your interest.

Countries I’ve Visited

Canada, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Netherlands, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Tanzania, United Arab Emirates, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In

United Kingdom, United States
