About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I'm on a mission to edify your couch and for you to edify mine

ABOUT ME

I am a traveling homebody, a tinker and a good time charlie with ideas about things I should have no business having ideas about. I've always been a hard worker, a project man, with a penchant for extreme relaxation. I must boogie.

PHILOSOPHY

The more you know, the less you know.
what doesn't kill you, only makes you stronger... or weaker.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I like to play host and guest. I feel this is the best way to get to know a place, to know a people. I think the random act of hospitality is the most important ambassadorship.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've stayed at lots of folks' houses in the nicest and funkiest conditions. I once stayed at a stranger's house and shared a bed with three other grown men for four months in Mali, Africa. Amazing, and smelly at times.

Interests

I love music, a lot of music, especially old music. I love to play music and build instruments and make artwork. I like to explore with new people and rewrite stupid jokes. I love to paint and teach and learn. I want to be a biologist.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm entertained by lots of movies, snobby slow-paced foreign films, gratuitous violence, the Big Lebowski.
I like reading Roberto Bolano and instruction manuals and about news and sportsball. I like to listen to old music from all over the place (and new music from all over the place). Don't dig gun in the face death metal or profit ridden power-pop.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Made lots of friends in lots of places.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love to share stories, food, music, art, and helpful and useless tidbits of information.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Food, music, jokes, tidbits about plant chemistry, beer, wine, soda-pop

Countries I’ve Visited

Australia, France, Germany, Ireland, Japan, New Zealand, Samoa, Switzerland, United Kingdom

Countries I’ve Lived In

Italy, Mali, United States
