Overview
About Me
I was born and raised in Fort Payne, Alabama. Currently I live in Nashville, Tennessee. I write songs, sing songs, play songs, and the best part is most of the time people actually pay me to do it! Haha. I also host a podcast, "Don't Stifle Me", which is conversational interviews with people in the music & arts world. I went to college at the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, and graduated in May 2009 with a degree in civil engineering. The next month I moved to Nashville and have been working in music ever since.
I've been playing the guitar since I was nine years old. I can also play harmonica, bass guitar, a little piano, some mandolin, and I can make noise on pretty much any instrument you hand me.
My dad has taught me my whole life, if you're going to do something, do it right and to the best of your ability. Always go full speed. My mom is just the most selfless, nicest, humble person in the world. So from the two of them I got a fantastic upbringing. I've somewhat combined those two qualities/teachings into a little mantra of my own - "Work hard. Be nice." It's simple, but something I operate on daily.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm a touring artist/musician, still in the building phases of my career. Therefore, on a modest budget, couch surfing is perfect when I'm on solo tours. I can bounce around to different places, share my music, make new friends, and not have to pay for expensive hotel rooms just to sleep in...

What I Can Share with Hosts
I cook a mean bacon, scrambled eggs and oatmeal breakfast. I'm as honest, genuine and hard-working of a guy that ever you'll meet. And I usually hand out some CDs or Koozies or tshirt or something from my Merch box. Of course, my hosts are welcome and invited to any show I have in the area as well.
