I am Jacopo, from the Dolomites in North Italy, and I’m 30 years old. For the past 5 years I’ve been travelling, volunteering, and working around the world. Traveling and exploring are at the core of my life, and through them I’ve learned to appreciate every moment. Over the years I have truly rediscovered myself and grown as a person—both mentally and spiritually. I base my life and my experiences on helping, connecting, learning, and teaching.

I have volunteered and travelled in many countries such as Portugal, Morocco, Mexico, India, Nepal, New Zealand, France, and Germany, working as a graphic designer, social media manager, yoga instructor, bartender, farmer, receptionist, and more. I adapt easily to different situations and cultures.

I am a big fan of nature and I truly believe that it is the answer to live in a better world, and I am passionate about discovering new food, medicines, and everything that Mother Earth provides for us. I have some knowledge of permaculture which I would be happy to share and get inspired. I am very passionate about animals too, so taking care of them would never be a duty for me, but a pleasure; I can connect really well with any kind of animals.

My future plan and goal is to find a piece of land in nature and transform it into a holistic center where people can re-connect with nature, and I am travelling to find inspirations and a place where I can settle.

I am passionate about moving my body and I love practising yoga (as I am a yoga teacher) and any kind of excercise; I am always happy to share this knowledge and teach to anyone willing to sweat & stretch :)

I am Italian, hence very passionate about eating and cooking :P I love cooking and sharing meals, both Italian ones as well Indians (as I used to live in India for couple of years).

I speak Italian, English, Spanish and a little bit of German.

I do not live in any place, and at the same time I live everywhere :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I believe that travelling is not only about stayng in hotels, but it is about making connections and exchanging knowledge, culture, and ways of thinking. From my experience, I got the most out of a place or culture by being with locals; I use Workaway a lot (since 5 years), which has a very similar concept to couchsurfing, and I truly believe it is the best way to get around the world!

Music, Movies, and Books

- Favourite Movie: 1988 by Fellini, an Italian movie from the 60' (considered one of the best movies ever)

- Favourite Music: I like many genres, from rock to punk rock, psy trance, healing frequencies, Classic Psychedelic Rock Music (Peter Green, Roy Buchanan) etc. On of my favourite songs is Apostle by Peter Green: a masterpiece with electric guitar!!

- Favourite Book: the 4 agreements: a book talking about how to live in society according to 4 basic rules: it changed my perception of life!!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

During the corona pandemic, I raised funds online, and with that money I bought one donkey in Morocco, saving him from a horribile life, and I travelled with him for a few weeks around the country, with couple of friends, sleeping in farms, tents, people's home.

What I Can Share with Hosts

- Yoga teaching: I am a yoga instructor and I am always happy to share this practice with anyone willing to move his/her body,

- Good company :D: I am a good listener but at the same time I love sharing my stories. We are gonna have some nice time!

- Good Food: I am not the greatest chef, but iI can cook sonme Italian dishes and a few indian ones. And always happy to learn new recipes.

- I love walking, hiking, especially in nature. Whenever I can I am happy to detach and go in the woods to chill
