About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Enjoy life, make friends, try everything at least once

ABOUT ME

I graduated from the University of Arkansas in May 2010 where I received degrees in German and Spanish. I have lived and studied in Austria and Spain and I did a Fulbright Teaching Assistantship in Germany until June 2011. After that I lived in the D.C. area to work for a program called City Year. Then I moved to Jakarta with my husband and taught Englsih. Now we're living in Poland and working at a language school. I teach English, German, and Spanish.
I love learning about new cultures and meeting new people. I am so excited I had the chance to travel through Europe Summer 2011, and was able to make new experiences and friendships.
I tend to be very opinionated and liberal. I think overall I'm a nice person and I try to treat people as I wish to be treated. I don't judge people, and I don't like to be judged. I believe in second chances and love at first sight.
As far as couch-surfing, I never send a request without reading through the profile, and I only send a request if I find something interesting, or something in common. The same goes for accepting requests.

PHILOSOPHY

Nothing in life is for free but the best things are priceless.

Laugh like you forgot how to cry, love like you've never been hurt, live like you'll die tomorrow.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

To this date, I've only had the opportunity to surf and attend meetings.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I originally joined the CS community in order to plan a road trip through the US. I have several friends who have had great experiences, so I was also looking forward to meeting new people and having exciting experiences. After the road trip was over, I was very excited about the amazing people I met. Since then, I have surfed several times and met up with other CSers around the world.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The most amazing thing I've done is hike through the cliffs of Algarve, Portugal. The views were epic, the experience was unforgettable.

The beach at Jimbaran was like a piece of heave on earth.

The view from atop the Schlossburg in Graz is pretty amazing as well. As is the view atop the CN tower in Toronto. Basically, I think things up high are pretty awesome :)

It's also been amazing to meet people from all around the world with couch surfing.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am a language teacher, so I would be more than happy to share my knowledge of foreign languages, or even my native language of English. In addition, learning foreign languages is a passion of mine, so I would love to learn more.
I also love cooking. I don't know a whole lot of recipes, so once again, I would enjoy learning new recipes.
