My name ist Jacqueline and I was born and raised in Germany. My parents work as puppeteers all around Germany, so basically I've always been travelling.
Now I'm sedentary, living in a small 13 square foot dorm and want to see the rest of the world. By now, I only experienced other coutries through small vacations in a hotel, and I wish to change that. My dream is to realize a whole world tour, but until I'm done studying I want to start small with short day trips.

I love to meet new people, especially if their opinions differ from mine. For me, getting in touch with different views and hearing other peoples expierences without judging them is an important part of being happy.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

A trip to another country is only as good as the company you have. As a person who uses to travel alone (at least now) but enjoys beeing in all kinds of groups, couchsurfing is the best way to turn I holiday trip into a whole new experience. I wouldn't want to see a different country if I had to stay solo during the trip. As a beginner in terms of travelling through other countries, couchsurfing is an opportunity to get first contact with interesting people all around the world.

I don't have a picky taste of music. Even though I love listening to unknown artists, I mostly end up listening to rap, rock and roll or old songs. At the risk of sounding cheesy - the most important thing in a song is the human voice. If it transports a great emotion in a particular part of the song, it can enhance the whole song despite a redundant melody. That's why I often repeatedly listen to Eminem - or maybe I just enjoy the feeling of beeing screamed at?

If I'm in a phase with much freetime, I sometimes read books like I eat meals. Chomp- gulp- wow. And I love reading just as much!
My favourite book genre is honestly non-fiction books, but I also love to read fantasy, manga and horror (but Stephen King only). My favourite book series is the dark tower by Stephen King.

I often changed my home as a child, but while doing that, I've never left Germany. I know many cities, but because every city was a new, and strange place, I often didn't get the possibility to get in touch with the city profoundly. Seeing it that way, I'm actually more inexperienced with new places than the average student. Maybe I can follow on from this.
I understand, that you as a host have an own daily routine with duties like working or studying that I have the privilege not to be worried about, because I'm "backpacking". Having that in mind, I respect the spare time and space you need. But if you finished work (and got the breaks you want to have for yourself), I would be grateful to spend that time with you, and engage in the things and places you are willing to show me in your hometown :)

A great experience that shapes my entire life is that I've spent my first 16 years in a caravan, travelling from city to city in a 3-4 week-rhytm. I always adapted to new situations, but I've also learned to let go, because an important part of visiting a new place is leaving another. I've got some different views on a few topics, and even though I'm german, I feel rather connected to the particular culture of being a showman.
