About Me

I hail from sunny LA, where it rarely ever rains and there's not enough greenery...but that doesn't stop the fun. There's always some place to explore in the city or the many areas around it. I love love love to eat (it's probably my biggest expense), and I enjoy meeting new people.

I'm courteous and respectful, and I am always looking for a new adventure. I appreciate cultural differences and am interested in learning all that I can, especially if it has to do with history.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Meeting new people and traveling when I can-- this is one of the best ways to do both at once.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Motown, oldies, trance/house/progressive, songs in languages I don't understand. Recently started listening to Blanco White.
Movies: I have a couple favorites but I'm not a big critic in general since movies are only an hour or two long. LoTR, Hayao Miyazaki films, the Godfather, Greatest Showman, Kubo, Red Cliff. Pretty much comedies, action, and any Chinese martial arts films.
Books: anything but a textbook.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've led a pretty uninteresting life, but I always think back to the time I went cliff diving at Sunset Cliffs in San Diego. We ended that day with fish tacos and a California burrito (a burrito with fries inside). Yum.

Sunrises in Yosemite and sunsets at Joshua Tree-- those were amazing to see. I used to row in college so I saw the sunrise every morning of the week, but something about the silence in nature is so serene.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm forever a student. There's no limit to learning.

What I Can Share with Hosts

My baking skills, my cooking knowledge (I'm more of a baker), stories and history from two cultures, pack in pack out mentality. Would love to cook together or else share a drink/meal at a local food place.

Countries I’ve Visited

Canada, China, Hong Kong, Japan, Mexico, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, Viet Nam

Countries I’ve Lived In
