My husband Dennis just finished med school and I am on sabbatical from my doctorate program. We are later aged students. We are embarking on a US tour before he starts his residency and I have to study non stop again. My husband and I both love to travel. Seeing other cultures, new places and making new friends is our passion! We love hiking, cooking, photography, art, wine, reading, sci fi, music and hanging with new and old friends.

I love to travel on a budget but I am really interested in making friends all over the world. I love doing the activities that the locals prefer over high touristy activities.
I hope to gain several new friends in all different areas of the world.

* We will not have a bedroom for people to crash in for a 2019-2020 as we travel. After that we will have a wonderful guest room for all our new friends to visit.

I love Diana Gabaldon's books! I also love all superhero movies and Star Wars! I love all kinds of music from old classics like Louis Armstrong and Frank Sinatra to old country like Johnny Cash and Waylon Jennings to new pop, alternative, blues, rock, and even hard rock! I love attending live music events and concerts and I do often. I adore the theater! I love historical sites and dancing.

I went all the way to Montreal Canada just attend the film festival, went to the island of Skye in Scotland and then went looking for the Loch Ness monster, I've visited Brussels just to try some of their chocolate and I went to the top of the twin towers in New York City before 9/11. I found a cheap ticket to Taiwan and booked it in five minutes even though I wasn't planning a trip. We bought a city bus and we are turning it into a tiny house! We are on Instagram as Within Driving Distance
