ABOUT ME

I'm currently living in San Diego, California and work as a legal assistant. I was born and raised in San Diego so I love the beach and sunshine. In August 2014, I will be moving to New York City to go to law school... the next chapter in life! I recently graduated from the University of California, Santa Barbara (2012) where I studied business and French. I spent a year living and studying in France (Lyon and Paris) - my favorite part during my University years. This is where I first learned about and got to experience couchsurfing! I'm hoping to get back into and continue my couchsurfing adventures this summer before having to settle down in the big city :)

So far I have only surfed around Europe but I'm excited to get the chance to host hopefully when I'm settled in NYC.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I only have great things to say about the couchsurfing community. It was definitely my favorite way to travel around Europe in 2010-2011. Everyone has been so friendly and hospitable. I couldn't imagine my travels any other way. Learning different cultures, practicing languages, trying new food, and getting a local feel of new cities -- unique experiences I would have not been able to experience without the couchsurfing community. It has been great to just hang out and exchange stories with people - it's the best way to make friends all around the world!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I trekked through the desert near M'hamid, Morocco for 7 days with Nomads and dromadaires. We camped under the stars, built campfires each night, and hiked Chegaga dune. It was unlike anything I had ever done before and it was magical :)

I've been a vegetarian my whole life so I really enjoy cooking for people and sharing vegetarian recipes.
