ABOUT ME

I'm Jacques... I drink, I travel, I meet people...Most of my time is spent running a production company that films ads for internet marketing (kinda like the "evil corporate media entity"). This involves me going to a lot of lunches, drinking a bit too much and being overall somewhat silly.To balance this, I also teach kids about science at Scitech, the science center in Perth, Western Australia. Which involves me being somewhat silly as well, just without the lunchs and "business" overtones.To complete the rule of threes, I help a good mate of mine run "round-the-world pub crawls" at Thirsty Swagman. Here we lead tour groups through a few countries in Europe and Asia, showing them some cool pubs with zero sightseeing.

PHILOSOPHY

Go with your gut. Trust in yourself - when you've made a decision it was the best decision you could have made at that point in time, given what you know of the situation and how long you had to make it.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I just got into Couchsurfing, I've known about it for a while but haven't had the opportunity to use it. Now I find myself in Korea and am keen to meet other travellers

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Mostly through a friend back in Perth who always had someone staying with him and was showing them around.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My first day of snowboarding involved me getting caught in a blizzard just as I got off the ski lift... I learnt to control the board very well on the way down:)
