Currently solo travelling around Europe for 3 months! Was recently introduced to the couch surfing community as a way to connect with people who know the area much better than any hostel worker and who can give me an insight into the try culture of their home towns.

I’m currently half way through a bachelor of education
in hope of becoming an early childhood and primary school teacher, returning to my studies when I go home in May. Over the last 18 months I have lived in the UK as a nanny for 4 months, travelled Europe & the UK for 2 months, returned home for 6 months and now on another 3 month adventure.

Although I am currently only able to ‘Surf’ I am hoping to host once I return back home :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

As a young solo traveller I have been staying in hostels for the most part of my trip. I was recently introduced to couch surfing as I was struggling to find people whom were travellers and not just tourists. I feel as though the young travel community has so much to offer each other and this is a great way for people to give back to other genuine people.

Once I return home from travelling, I would love to give back to the couch surfing community by also offering somewhere to stay at my home, I think this is a very important part of the whole experience.

I love to rock out to 70s and 80s music but can pretty much listen to anything other then screamo!!

My favourite movie of all time would have to be Mamma Mia!

I really enjoy watching Historical fiction tv shows like Outlander, Reign and Poldark!

I’m not an avid book fan, but prefer to read articles and information regarding my area of study.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

It’s too hard to decide on one so here’s my top two!

Teach, Learn, Share

I don’t know if teach is the right word but I love to get into deep conversation with people about the how’s and whys of life. I find it extremely empowering hearing about people’s journeys and how they have become who they are.

I am no Masterchef but I can cook a delicious home style meal which can either be enjoyed with a cider (or your preferred drink) or even just a water will do 😁

I think it’s also really cool to meet people whom have been to places that are on my bucket list and I can hear all about their experiences and recommendations.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I love to talk but totally understand if that is not your thing, you can always tell if I feel comfortable and connected with you as I won’t shut up. I love to cook good meals not anything exotic but you will have more than burnt toast. :D

As any traveller can, I can share great stories about my trip so far and hopefully you can be apart of the next story I tell too!
