Hi! I'm a food science student who want to discover Europe and its inhabitants! I am currently living in Quebec city, Canada, for my studies but I am from Abitibi, a region in north-west of Quebec province. I want to learn about European cultures and ways of living. I never travelled outside of North America and it will be my first Couchsurfing experience!

These are some of my pastimes and passions :
FOOD SCIENCE : Lets talk about how milk become a cheese with the addition of bacterias and heat, why bread inflate and gets brown during baking and chocolate transformation from cocoa. Food science is a wonderful blend of chemistry, microbiology and food processing!
OUTDOORS ACTIVITIES : I like hiking, biking, kayaking, via ferrata, snowshoeing, skiing, to slide in the snow, walking…Everything that gets me some fresh air!
BOARD GAMES : Nothing is better than board games to end the day! Cooperative games, escape games, strategic games and classic ones, I like them all.
SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT : I’m particularly interested about how can we get a sustainable food chain. I’ll start my master’s thesis in september about finding ways to reduce food loss and waste (FLW) in Canada’s catering sector. I think that circular economy is an interesting way to reduce FLW by mutual aid between farmers, distributors, restorers and the transformation industry. The idea is that each actor can reuse the food that would have been thrown away by another.

Me and my boyfriend always wanted to travel together to discover new countries. We think that Couchsurfing is the best way to do it because it allows to get out of your everyday life and experience new ways of living. We desire to meet inhabitants of differents cities and countries to learn about their culture. If you want to know more about the beautiful province of Quebec and Canada, we wish to share you our lifestyle and mores with you! For us, Couchsurfing is, before all, an extraordinary social and cultural expriment!

MUSIC : I pretty much love rock and alternative music. My favorite artists are Linkin Park, Billy Talent, Bon Jovi, Breaking Benjamin and Imagine Dragon. Of course, there is some french canadien music that I appreciate and can make you discover as Les Cowboys Fringants et Les Trois Accords.
MOVIES : My favorites are dramas, the movies based on true stories and war movies.
BOOKS : Honestly I was reading a lot when I was young but since I started university I don't have time to read new books. However, I like science-fiction and action books. One of my favorite author is Dan Brown.
