ABOUT ME

Jade is from Northern Europe and Nolan is from the Caribbean. We met while both living and working in the Cayman Islands and have been together and married for almost 7 years. We love to travel, we are very sporting people, love to cook and chat with interesting people. Our friends are very varied of all nationalities and all full of personality. We are both vegetarians, though we eat fish sometimes, we do not smoke and enjoy 1 or 2 glasses of wine but we are not big drinkers, just socially as we like to remember our conversations with people we meet

PHILOSOPHY

arghh! simple really ... to be content with a simple life and enjoy the best of life ... nature, laughter, food and the odd glass of wine

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We can Host at times when we are not too busy or have family visiting. We do both work during the day and some evenings so it is not always possible to physically take people around touring etc but we can give advice on where to go and things to see. We´re happy to sit and enjoy a meal with you and hear all about your adventures, chat and laugh. Our studio is in our home so people who stay with us will need to know that we will have classes at the house during the day when we teach, you are welcome to join in the classes if we have space. Our upside down yoga is a blast! and the Monkey Gym classes are TOUGH!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

None yet, i´m a newby but my friend jo oyeleke has recommended and she´s about half way round the world couch surfing right now! lucky bugger!

We have hosted a couple of times now and this was very positive

Interests

We spend our time being physically active in pilates,sports, yoga and stretching! we love nature, walking, the ocean. Jade loves to horse ride and Nolan loves a game of beach volley ball or football. We sometimes travel together but sometimes alone, especially if Jade is going to yoga classes or workshops somewhere lol

We enjoy eating good healthy food (organic when we can) while sharing good conversations with good people. We love animals but don´t keep any in our house (unless we find one injured and then it is welcome to recoup in our home).

has to be funny movies and romantic comedies, books by people who have mastered the art of simplicity, ... music? too varied to list from salsa to pop, the oldies are the best though ... my favourite song ´´íf you like pina colada´!

The veiw from a mountain top in Spain after a 6 hour climb
a 60 foot whale fully breached off the coast of hawaii

Teach, Learn, Share

So, i´ve mentioned it several times but we love to socialise over food and wine. We do work a lot during the day so don´t expect a tour guide lol. We´re happy to point you in the right direction and advise where to go and then in the evening we´ll happily share a meal and bottle with you while you tell us all about your day and we share funny stories, experiences. Happy to go out for a meal with you also (though we don´t like to get lumped with the whole bill to pay at the end as one couch thought was ok after ordering the most expensive of everything, drinking 4 times what we did and sat with their hands in their pockets when the bill came, which was a shock as they actually offered to take us out for a meal to say thank you for hosting) so sure we´ll go for a meal, share the food, share the bill. (sorry for the rant just had to make clear).

Obviously if we´re not working we would be able to spend more time with you and would be happy to do this
