HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I participate by spreading the word of CS to other travelers and by attending local gatherings and meetings in the cities I am in.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have surfed in countries such as Fiji, New Zealand and England and have had excellent experiences thus far. I have also hosted couch surfers in a shared house that I live in on Salt Spring Island, BC.

Interessi

I have always been a lover of music, art, and learning about the earth. I find myself attracted to learning about healing properties of the earth and how to utilize these properties from food, plants, rocks...etc. I also enjoy making crafts and being creative with projects. I hope to find a happy medium between my passions in a career one day.

Musica, film e libri

I love revolutionary music that increases our frequency when we listen to it. Medicine for the People being one of them. I also deeply love old folk - Joni Mitchell, Suzanne Vega, Richard Thompson, Neil Young. Music feeds my soul over and over.

Una cosa incredibile che ho fatto

It was at a music festival I attend every summer since 1995, called Blue Skies. An Australian, folk musician came upon the stage named David Ross McDonald and asked for the lights to be turned off on the stage and for everyone to lie back and look up at the sky while he sang a song called 'Waltzing Matilda'. He serenaded us into a peaceful, dreamy state when a huge star shot across the sky. All 2000 of us were able to marvel and gasp in awe! Having an entire crowd of people see and marvel at the same shooting star was easily one of the best experiences I have ever had. I have never felt so connected to such a large mass of people and the universe all at once!

I am very interested in learning how to make things out of natural materials (i.e. weaving, cooking, felting) Just crafts in general is what I love to do. I love to sing and have music jams. I thrive in communal situations and love when everyone is helping out to make or share something for everybody.
