Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I love having guests and showing people everything I know about a place. I think it's important to get a local view on any place I travel to and I want to share my local experiences with anyone who wants to listen.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've had a few couch surfers in my day... I spent a lot of my youth traveling and making friends around the world so I tend to stay with my close friends when I travel, but I think I will start staying with people I don't know to spice up my life a bit. And the couch surfers I've had have all been fantastic.

Interests

Anthropology and archaeology, traveling (obviously), languages, other people's cultures, my culture (since I still can't figure it out), food, movies (good and bad), animals, bad jokes, good jokes too, I guess.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've lived on 4 continents. I've dug up thousand-year-old norse skeletons. I have a mother and a sister that love me and I think that's the best thing.

Teach, Learn, Share

The Norse in Greenland, I could tell you about them. I could also tell you about gossip, my undergraduate thesis looked at the power of gossip in community building. I could tell you about human bones and forensic science too, I'm currently pursuing an M.S. in forensic anthropology at Boston University School of Medicine. I want to learn everything, so I'm sure there's plenty you know that I would want to know about.
