About Me

Hi, everyone! I'm a simple yet enthusiastic soul. I'm a full-time quality control coordinator and sometime theatre professional (scenic and sound design), graphic designer, songwriter, musician, and Local Coordinator of the Dungeons & Dragons Adventurers League. I live in the Los Angeles area with my wife and two kids.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I find myself travelling now and then and every once in a while find myself in need of a place to crash. I love meeting new people, seeing new places, and learning about new communities.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music-wise, the following artists tend to get the heaviest rotation: Belle & Sebastian, Better Than Ezra, Counting Crows, the Decemberists, Passion Pit, the Pipettes, the Shins, Tegan & Sara, le Tigre, the Ting-Tings, Rufus Wainwright, and the Zutons.

My favorite movie of all time is the original Tron. Other films I love include the Dark Crystal, the Fountain, Labyrinth, the Lord of the Rings trilogy, the various Muppet movies, Pacific Rim, Pan's Labyrinth, Synecdoche, New York, Up in the Air, and the works of David Lynch and John Waters.

I'm not particularly well-read, but my favorite books include Good Omens: the Nice and Accurate Prophecies of Agnes Nutter, Witch, various books in the Discworld series, American Gods, the His Dark Materials series, Lolita, A Series of Unfortunate Events, and the Harry Potter series.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I got to play an intimate show with my music idol: Belle & Sebastian guitarist/songwriter Stevie Jackson.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love sharing the fun of tabletop role-playing games with others, especially if they've never tried it before. I can share insights on graphic design, design for the stage, and home recording.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Games of D&D and other RPGs, Filipino pastries, critically analytic discussion about theatre/film/music, and overall good company.
