I think Couchsurfing is a great opportunity to find the middle way between being alone in a hotel room, and the hassle of being in an hostel.
Also I find it interesting to get a sneak peek into people’s lives. How do they live, what do they eat, morning person or late riser, etc etc.

- watching the sunset on the Great Barrier Reef and missing the sunrise on the Great Barrier Reef because my lovely friend didn’t wake me up... looking at you, Jade from Belgium!

Stories about the northern lights. Or the story of driving snowmobiles through snowy landscapes while being hunted down by a stray husky. Or the story about clients who turned into friends. People I’ll always remember. For example the dude I’ve been visiting in Sydney and been partying for 3 nights straight. Or the little girl who wrote me fanmail.
