Overview
About Me
Geophysicist originally from Colombia, lived in Atlanta, Georgia (U.S.), the Lisboa (Portugal), and moved to Sao Paulo (Brazil). I do speak Portuguese but I don't consider myself fluent in portuguese,
I have an obsession for earthquakes (hence me devoting myself to research).
Sports enthusiast, especially for Football (the real one :P), but not an obnoxious nor an aggressive super fan.
Mojito and Movie enthusiast, including and especially all of those guilty movie pleasures!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I stayed at an apartment of a person that was hosting people, and it was pretty interesting. I cannot host unfortunately, but since I started traveling solo, it seems like I can get a good experience out of it.
Also, I'm always looking for a chance to share whatever (little as it might be) knowledge of the city where I am living, and help others avoid the mistakes that I have made in the city.
Interests
Good vegetarian food (trying weird food is always good), good walks where I discover those gems that are not on the path of most tourists, photography (even though I suck at it). Having a beer and chatting. Live music...
Sorry, too open a question? just ask me, and I'm sure we'll find common ground :)

Music, Movies, and Books
music: Tool, NIN, the strokes, Two door cinema club, Rise Against...
Books: most recent for me is ready player one (from its reference to all those old school 80's games). This is bound to get updated soon: With The martian (I know, at the same time was the movie, but still!!)
Movies, too wide of a taste really, I can go from loving Ex-Machina, to Moonlight to Guardians of The Galaxy easily.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Having access to the "do not trespass" zone near an active volcano I think is a bit badass. I almost went code brown, but still amazing.
Snorkeling with Plankton felt like I was in Pandora, and getting lost in a cave was... interesting
Never finished my certification in skydiving, but I liked half-assing the course :P
Teach, Learn, Share
Teach: geeky stuff,
