ABOUT US
We are enjoying discovering as much about life as we can, now our respective families have grown up (and introduced us to Couchsurfing - YAH!) We both have a great interest in learning - and experiencing - as we move along the journey of life. Sharing time with others (with a sense of humour) adds to all experiences.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Had a fabulous few days in Heidelberg - thanks, John :) Looking forward to sharing more in the future.
Spent three nights in London with Ruth, we had some lovely chats the nights she was home.
We hosted a lovely Iranian couple (and their baby) who had just moved to New Zealand - interesting sharing their life story.
We hosted a lovely French girl overnight who was visiting New Zealand.

Interests

Art, creativity, meeting people and new experiences. TRAVELLING! :) Ian has dabbled in painting, pottery, adobe sculpture and printmaking (selling them through an Art Collective in Tirau) and poetry and writing.

Jane has trained in NLP and Modern Hypnosis and works part time as a Life Coach and Stress Less Advisor.

Both LOVE learning about differences between peoples and how the world really works.

Music, Movies, and Books

We both love a very wide selection of books, music, food and cultures. Things that touch the heart, move the soul and move us forward. Learning new styles, authors, experiences is what we look forward to in the CS exchange and in life. Learning about something new to try. Learning points of view others have about culture politics and spirit.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Ian took a leap, gave up (normal) work for 18 months and followed his passion in art, joining a small Art Collective and selling his art.
Jane took a 3 month sabbatical to the Peak District in the UK to write some years ago.

Lived. Fully. With eyes open ... at times :) (The aim is to do it Full Time!)
