About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Getting to know Mannheim (where I've just moved to) and making friends :)
ABOUT ME
I've graduated from high school in 2007 and travelled for about 9 months in New Zealand, which was an awesome time. In 2008 I moved to Marburg and studied psychology at uni til my diploma in June 2014, interrupted by a semester abroad in Aarhus, Denmark, and two internships of three months in Hamburg. After my graduation I started working in a psychiatry. I'm still learning a lot and finding it very interesting!
In my free time I enjoy meeting friends (e.g. cooking, going to concerts/poetry slam/other events, playing board games, watching movies), I like to be outside (cycling, hiking, camping), reading, spending time with my boyfriend and trying different kinds of sports (lately Squash and Salsa). And, last but not least, I love travelling. In the next few years I will be short of time and money, so maybe it won't be possible to travel much. But I used my years at uni to travel to Australia, Thailand/Cambodia, Indonesia and Brazil - each an unique and wonderful experience :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
When I'm travelling I'm participating by bringing some diversion and hopefully fun or good conversation to people... :)
Now that my boyfriend and I have a flat and I'm not living in a big flat share anymore, I would like to host people as well because I think that can be very interesting for me and helpful for the travellers. Of course I can also offer travel advice, a cup of coffee or just a conversation :)
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've couchsurfed a couple of times in New Zealand, Australia, Norway, Denmark, Thailand, Germany and Indonesia. I've had some awesome experiences, e.g. sleeping on a boat in Oslo or in a tiny village in the middle of nowhere in Thailand. I stayed with interesting and open-minded people and always learned something new about other cultures and different kinds of people.
No one has ever stayed with me, because I always lived in a flat share, but now I have more space and I'd be happy to host someone in the future :)
Interests
I enjoy travelling, meeting interesting people, trying out new things, sports, handicrafts, reading, meeting my friends, going out, playing board games, lying in the sun and enjoying life :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
While travelling in Australia, I hitchhiked on a small island, just to get to the next bus stop. The two guys who gave me a ride were so open minded and fun, that we ended up spending the whole day together. They showed me a hidden, beautiful part of the island, we went to a children's birthday party of the kid of one of their friends, and they fished some fish and we grilled them right at the beach. It was a really fun and relaxing day and I'm glad I could share these guys' normal Sunday with them :)
Teach, Learn, Share
I would like to learn some more languages in my life and could offer some help in learning German or English.
Other than that I can tell people about my travels and show photos, I can teach you some games and some handicrafts maybe ;)
