Overview
About Me
I am a queer sustainability activist who loves fashion. My background is in intercultural peacebuilding, and I am currently getting my master's in conflict resolution and sustainability.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love meeting people and hearing new stories & perspectives. Naturally my budget is incredibly low and I prefer to stay with someone who is friendly and supportive of backpack travel.
Interests
My favorite things to do are see a local drag show, shoot film, alter/hem my own clothes, and hang with friends. I bought a Pentax 35mm when I was 16 'cause I thought it looked cool, and it's one of my biggest hobbies. I've since accumulated more working film cameras and digital and specialize in expired film. I love the outdoors and take every opportunity I have to explore.

Music, Movies, and Books
I've made playlists to fit different moods, but I mainly like Dream Pop, Soul Train, Disco, EDM, and hyperpop. I'm a movie buff so I have a lot of favorites, but most notable are Black Swan, Crouching Tiger-Hidden Dragon, and Le Chateau de Ma Mere. Add me on LetterBoxd to see my weekly picks!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Recently I helped lead a community fundraiser for families affected by recent hurricane disaster. The event was called Art for Hearts, where local artists were organized and sold their art to the public and 100% proceeds were donated. I love volunteering in the community and am always looking for local outreach programs.
What I Can Share with Hosts
A smile, some comedic relief, and some insights on a dying art! I currently work in fashion sustainability and hope to land a job up in NYC soon.
