ABOUT ME

I was born and raised near Chicago, IL. I'm 25.
I live in Columbus Ohio. Music is my life; I teach music lessons, and play gigs.
I play stringed instruments… banjo, fiddle, guitar, mandolin, bass. Bluegrass and old-time mountain music are my main outlets. I also love dance… contra dance, square dance, rumba, cha cha, swing, waltz. I can moonwalk too :)

Hustle, hustle, hustle! Jump right into things! Learn from mistakes! If I'm stagnating, I get up and get out.

I can't believe how kind people can be! I feel grateful for the numerous true adventures I have been on and I don't take them for granted!

Interests

Music (mostly bluegrass and old-time), and dance. Becoming a good music teacher has been a big challenge. I have had to work hard and refine my method over and over until I could teach a good lesson. I still work at it, and always will!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was in traveling bluegrass band for a couple years. We drove all over the place and got into all kinds of shenanigans. We also went to Europe for a few months and played street music and got into more shenanigans. We were juuust naive enough to try it. Oh boy, what an adventure…

We had chance encounters with street bums, oogles, punks, drag-queens, mischievous teenagers, biker gangs, hippies, alligators, squid, Hare Krishnas, and a shoeless but not sockless ogre.
