Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
I am trying to discover the secrets of the world.
ABOUT ME
I just joined CS, so my profile is a little bare for right now, but that will change once I get into it a little more. I am on my first solo travel venture of my life, and it is very exciting to be this free. I love making new friends in new places, and I like when people are genuine with me and therefore I like to be genuine with people. I enjoy reading books, specifically science fiction and gritty cyberpunk when I can find it.
PHILOSOPHY
"Walk slowly and drink lots of water" -Haruki Murakami
Alternatively, "Walk a lot and drink your water slow".
Either one works for me. Then again, walking fast is sometimes more enjoyable, as is chugging water. So, I guess the ultimate philosophy would be "Do what feels comfortable, depending on the situation."
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Currently traveling, so I am only a guest right now.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
My house was a couchsurfing site in Burlington, Vermont in college. We had a huge living room with three big couches, so it only seemed right to become members of CS. Since then, I've traveled in Southeast Asia, South America, and around the US a bit. I'm currently in Japan for the next couple weeks.
Interests
Books, music, meditation, cooking, laughing, joking, conversations about both deep and trivial things, meeting new people, trying new flavors, gaining new insight, and partying when the mood strikes.

I have some experience as a cook, so I could teach some intermediate cooking skills. I'm also a fairly skilled bicycle mechanic, so anything bike related I could help out with.
