ABOUT ME

At the moment, I am travelling to Central America! This is my next great adventure. I have traveled through-out the USA, Canada, and Europe. I am an incredibly laid back soul, easy going and lover of laughter. I am always on the lookout for adventure and great company!

PHILOSOPHY

Life is all there is. It has ups and downs, ins and outs, and I'm all about riding this roller coaster. I once saw a sign that said, "Life is 10% what happens to you, and 90% how you react," I agree.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I am couch surfing because I have met many travelers who have reveled in their couch surfing experiences. They have had mostly amazing adventures and have met amazing people along the way. I think couch surfing is a more authentic way to travel because getting to meet local people in their homes and communities provides more opportunities for exploration and growth, rather than staying sheltered in hotels and tours. It is more personable and our adventures in life are about the people we share them with. I would like to share a part of who I am with the people I visit and I hope to learn something from each person I meet. I feel CouchSurfing is a great way to explore this world of ours.

Music, Movies, and Books

I am a musician so music is a central part of my life. My favorite music is the music that happens when I get to share my talents with other musicians and people in the moment. I believe that music is much more than the artists, songs, and albums which represent it. Music is life and the best music happens LIVE. Whether at a show or jamming, there is nothing better for me than the sounds and energy of music in the moment.
I enjoy all sorts of movies, esp international/foreign movies as they have different perspectives and interpretations of things than I am used to in the States.
Much of my time is spent reading books on the subjects of interpersonal relations, communication, and philosophy.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Recently I learned a new instrument (drums), joined a band, wrote a full album with the band, played shows, and professionally recorded the album ALL in less than a year. People loved the music and the dancing was endless! It was quite an intense and amazing experience that I will always remember.

Teach, Learn, Share

Personal growth is very important to me as a person. The best way to grow is to teach people your skills and learn theirs. We all have something to offer and we can all learn new things. We share in that exchange and through that exchange we grow. My skills are in music and I am always looking to share. I'm a great learner too, and am interested in the interests of others.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I would like to share myself with hosts. I am a fun loving person who is very sociable and ready to make friends and share life perspective. I can also share my musical side if hosts are interested. I'm always willing to share my attention and listen to what Hosts have to say about their home and community. I feel that listening to each other and being respectful is a large part of what makes couchsurfing what it is today; a safe community of good people sharing this experience of life with each other.
