Overview
About Me
Yá'át'ééh shik'èí dóó shidine'è , Hola mis amigos. Γεια σας. I grew up on the Navajo Nation. Living out in ruralness shaped much of my identity. Always liked travelling to places away from home. Made me appreciate other places and my homeland even more.
In college now, after couchsurfing in Europe years ago I want to host so I can return the favor to other travellers.
If you're a Breaking Bad fan, I live 10 minute walk away from Jane and Jesse Pinkman's apartment. Can tell you some interesting stories about the area and this city.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I came from a small town on the reservation and never thought I'd leave. Signed up for couchsurfing on the recommendation for a friend. The interesting people I met is why I am still on couchsurfing.
Interests
Interested in art, music, culture, and connections with people. By extension also interested in languages since each one has a musicality and rhythm unique to it. In college for linguistics. Also have some guitars that anyone can play if they wish.
One thing im pretty much always up for is nature. Hiking and running mostly. Bicycling is a new passion. The Sandia mountains and the trails along the Rio Grande are easily accessible even without a car in Albuquerque.

Music, Movies, and Books
Whatever music catches my ear i enjoy. From classical music, to electronic music, to metal. The music of my tribe is most nostalgic.
For movies I'm less judgemental. I'll watch any movie but enjoy a select few. Horror and Dramas. Comedy to decompress.
I am off and on with books. Either a struggle or a breeze. Horror books and books on photography are my favorite.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Walked 6 days in the Sahara. One of the days with only one sandal..
Teach, Learn, Share
Teach? I grew up in Arizona on the Navajo Nation (Dinètah) learning the language and culture of my tribe. If interested could teach about where i grew up and the history of the native american tribes around the Four Corners area from the Navajo (Dinè) perspective.
Learn? I'm interested in language exchange. But mostly joined couchsurfing for meeting people from different backgrounds and beliefs. I think we grow from these experiences.
Share? I think the teaching and learning is part of what we share. I am willing to give a bed and give kitchen access. I understand the logistics of travelling can be stressful, especially when on a small budget, so I will try to help.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Most of what i can offer is laid out in the rest of my profile. For the moment, not surfing, just hosting.
