ABOUT ME

I live on the South Puget Sound of Washington and every time I move away, I just want to move back. It's beautiful here. Come and see for yourself, my couch is always open if I'm here. As for the rest of me, I like reading, gardening, sports, and the outdoors. When I'm finished with those, it's always nice to end the day having a drink with friends and family.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm an experienced surfer abroad and a host when I'm back home in Washington.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've couchsurfed in Belgium, The Netherlands, Finland, Sweden, and Denmark. I look forward to many more great experiences as a surfer. I've also hosted and enjoy letting the travelers come to me for a change.

Favorite movies are Easy Rider, Dark City, I Heart Huckabees, and Star Wars.

I like rock, blues, jazz, and classical music, but enjoy most music except for country.

My favorite books are Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance, The Stranger, Lila, The God Particle, Elmer Gantry, The Omnivore's Dilemma, Born to Buy, Chuang Tzu, Tao Te Ching, It Can't Happen Here, The Island (Huxley), The Lord of the Rings, The Fall, The Hogben Stories, The High Price of Materialism, Psychology and Consumer Culture, Tropical Gangsters, and many more.

Algo increíble que he hecho

While hiking alone in the Hoh Rainforest on the Olympic Peninsula in Washington state I stopped on a trail to sit and rest for a minute when I looked up and realized I was standing in the middle of a herd of about 30 elk. They are absolutely beautiful animals and it is unbelievable how well they could blend into their surroundings. If I hadn't stopped, I probably would have walked right through the herd without noticing any of them.

My formal schooling is in Sociology and Political Science. I also know quite a bit about computers and engines/motors, but I am by no means an expert in those fields. As for other knowledge, I am an avid whino and always enjoy sharing a good bottle with whoever is around.
