我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

I'm on a journey right now that is going to take me from Istanbul via Edirne, Bulgaria, Kosovo, Montenegro, Serbia, Rumania, Ukraine, Poland and then back home to Sweden.

I'm writing for a Swedish newspaper about this journey and I'm also having a blog. I'm interested in the history of this area - for example how the old multiethnic empires like the Ottoman and Habsburg (Austria-Hungary) is noticeable in like architecture, bureaucracy, culture, food, rhetoric from politicians and so.

I'm on Couchsurfing to find cheap living, but very much also for meeting new friends with whom I can discuss things and showing me places I can't find otherwise. I carry sleeping mattress and sleeping bag with me.

Being with friends, drink tea, coffee & beer and so (and of course eating), listen to music, read interesting books, politics, history, play with children, sing and dance, strolling around, bicycling, grow flowers and think about things and discuss it
