I´m a very calm guy, tolerant and patient. Finding it hard to turn down opportunities I spend a lot of time outdoors or on the road, even though I also appreciate relaxing at home or somewhere in a park.
Currently I am studying Environmental Enginnering in Darmstadt, Germany in the second semester, at the moment enjoying the student life but hopefully one day contributing to reducing the negative human impact on planet and climate. During the studies I feel privileged and try my best to take advantage of all the freedom.
Concerning travelling I prefer hiking, a backpack and a tent to flying, a suitcase and a hotel.
One year ago I discovered hitchhiking as my preferred method to get from A to B. Having reached Corsica last summer and Southern Croatia this spring I can truly recommend doing auto-stop!

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

Had one Couchsurfing-Experience in Sydney together with a friend, and even though it was far from comfortable I enjoyed the concept of sharing one´s flat with "unknown" without demanding a material value in return.
Living and travelling on a low budget and not always taking the easyest way, but in return having real stories to share and tell afterwards are ideas that make Couchsurfing attractive to me, so that´s why I am finally here.

Spontaneously pretended to be an exchange student from Scotland and sneaked into the Championship-Party in the locker room of an Ice-Hockey-Team from Kassel, Germany, celebrating their Second-League-Title all night long.
Hockey-Players from Germany, USA, Canada,... and Jakob from Scotland.
