About Me

Hey there
I am Jakob, i am 20 years old and I love travelling and hosting travelers. It is one of my biggest passions to experience different cultures and different countries. I like to listen to stories and also to share my own stories.
I am interested about the inner path. I try to pay more attention to my feelings than to my brain. that is probably the reason why i would call my self an easy going person. I do not need a lot of entertainment. I am always fulfilled with what I have.

Apart from that I have just finished my apprenticeship. I have worked as a carpenter for two years. In future I want to become a teacher for mathematics and religion.
In my free time I like to go climbing or playing chess.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I started to host people in may 2019. I was really impressed, how easy it was to get in contact with travelers from all over the world. I love it because it is so effortless and easy to use. And therefore you get so many benefits for your life. I think if I would not have started couchsurfing, I would have missed so many great moments. I am really thankful, that somebody invented this :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have attended and finished highschool and than started working in construction:

I always wanted to become a teacher. But after passing my final exams in school, I thought maybe I will miss something if I start to study right away. So I came up with the idea to work in construction. I started an apprenticeship as carpenter. I worked for two years, manly building houses, roofs, balconies, etc. out of wood. It was an awesome time and i learned a lot.

Countries I’ve Visited

Albania, Belgium, Cambodia, Croatia, England, France, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Kosovo, Laos, Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, Thailand
