When I step into a sterile, all-white, corporate hostel of 500 beds scattered over 5 floors, filled with people from 50 different countries, speaking dozens of different languages, I don't get sad due to a boring experience, but because I forget what country I was actually in when stepped in over the doorstep.

I want to try CouchSurfing for the real experience. For discovering the local culture, its people, values and morals and jokes.
