Overview
About Me
Professionally, I work as a software developer. However, I have a background in linguistics, having studied both English and German.
When it comes to travel, I absolutely love pushing myself outside my comfort zone. I'm currently on my very first solo backpacking trip, which has been an amazing experience! Before this, I had the opportunity to explore a lot of Europe, often relying on hitchhiking to get around and with my old Polonez. I believe traveling alone is the best way to grow and meet people.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I joined Couchsurfing because I believe in the power of connection and shared experience. I'm eager to meet new people, hear about their unique backgrounds, and understand their different perspectives on life. For me, it's the best way to travel and learn something new from everyone I meet.
Interests
My biggest passions are cinema and travel, which usually go hand-in-hand with meeting new people. I love exploring new places and connecting with locals to get an authentic feel for a city.
A few more specific hobbies I enjoy: I'm a big fan of analog photography—there's something special about waiting for a film roll to develop and the soul inside these photos! I also spend a good amount of time on DIY projects, tinkering with things, and anything related to automotive

Music, Movies, and Books
I'm a big cinema lover! My favorite genre is drama, but I make an effort to see everything—I'm often at the theater checking out new releases. When it comes to music, I don't stick to any one style; my playlist is all about whatever mood I'm in.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
It's tough to pick just one! Was it changing a driveshaft on a car in the Alps at 2,600 meters above sea level? Or maybe the single hitchhiking ride to Sofia, Bulgaria, where the driver and I took turns driving his car for over 1,200 kilometers?
Those were wild, but the most challenging and exciting thing I've done so far is my current solo backpacking journey through Southeast Asia. It’s the ultimate step outside my comfort zone and a daily adventure!
Teach, Learn, Share
If you're interested, I'd be happy to show you the basics of analog photography—from loading the film to some essential shooting tips.
I can also chat about the world of coding, linguistics, or hitchhiking travel. And most importantly, I'm a repository of weird and obscure trivia I've gathered during my travels and by chance. Get ready for some surprising stories!
